Summary

Mexican artist Julia Haro created a stunning painting that I recently purchased at an art show in her home, a transaction that sparked a mystical connection between us. In a personal, intuitive, and emotional conversation, Julia and I explore what exactly she facilitated for me by creating and selling this piece of art, as part of a broader conversation about the timeless bond that unites artists with their audiences.

Episode Transcript

Today’s Guest

Julia Haro was born in Leon, a city in the heart of Mexico, since an early age she was drawn to the creative world and moved to Mexico City where she built a career in the design industry working on a diversity of projects, from spaces, branding, product, and experience, for companies in Mexico and the US while finding her artistic voice. She considers her artwork to be a meditation practice and a way to communicate emotions she has faced in specific moments in life. Today Julia is a full-time artist and creative based in London where she is seeking to expand her practice and develop projects that will spark conversations and generate connections among those who experience them.
